Andrea North
Andrea North is a polymath, artist, organizer, operations brain, and all-around community human currently rooted in New Orleans.
Originally from Chicago, Andrea has spent nearly a decade building a life, creative practice, and wildly interconnected community throughout New Orleans and across the United States.
A classically trained chef with more than 25 years in restaurants and hospitality, Andrea’s background eventually evolved far beyond kitchens. These days, her work lives at the intersection of people, projects, systems, art, logistics, collaboration, and community care.
She works as an operations and people generalist, helping organizations, artists, nonprofits, events, and collaborative projects stay functional, organized, and human.
Andrea divides her time between managing projects, supporting community arts, volunteering, strengthening local food systems, participating in animal rescue efforts, and helping build immersive experiences, puppetry, performance work, and interactive community art throughout New Orleans and the US.
Since 2020, she has also been deeply engaged in ceramics, exploring clay as both creative practice and personal grounding.
Andrea is also a certified Death Doula, bringing compassionate support, presence, and practical care to individuals and families navigating end-of-life experiences.
When she is not organizing chaos, building giant art, making ceramics, volunteering, collaborating on events, or supporting community projects, she is usually spending time with her two adult sons, dogs, and cats.
